1. Acceptance

By accessing or using fieldwork.sh you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. The platform

fieldwork.sh is a marketplace that connects clients with independent technical consultants for one-on-one video sessions. We are not a party to the consulting relationship — consultants are independent contractors, not employees of fieldwork.sh.

3. Platform fee

fieldwork.sh charges a 15% platform fee on all session payments. This fee is deducted from the consultant's earnings before payout. The total amount charged to the client equals the consultant's hourly rate pro-rated to the session duration, plus applicable taxes.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Clients may cancel a confirmed booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled time for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable. Consultants who fail to join a session without notice will trigger a full refund to the client.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the platform to conduct illegal activities, harass other users, circumvent our payment system by arranging off-platform payments, or misrepresent your qualifications as a consultant. Violations may result in immediate account suspension.

6. Intellectual property

Advice given in sessions remains the intellectual property of the consultant. Clients may not record, redistribute, or commercialise session content without the consultant's explicit written consent.

7. Limitation of liability

fieldwork.sh is provided "as is". We are not liable for the quality of advice given in sessions, any decisions made based on that advice, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the preceding 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
